Ola Isaksson is a freelance journalist and writer focusing on business, entrepreneurship and social issues with a special interest in the Copenhagen region, Spain and Latin America. He is also a lecturer in journalism at Department of Communication and Media, Lund University. He writes regularly for Sydsvenskan, a regional newspaper in south of Sweden, and is also recurring as a news reporter at Dagens Nyheter, the main daily newspaper in Sweden. Ola also works with magazines and provides organizations and companies with high quality editorial material.
In 2008 he co-founded Södra Esplanaden – a creative hub and studio for freelancers and companies within the communication industry in Malmö-Lund, the office still flourishes today. Ola has also written several books assigned to him by organizations, such as LSU – The National Council of Swedish Youth Organisations, CISV – building global friendship and UNA Sweden. In august 2015 his newly written guide book about Madrid, Mitt Madrid, will be released on Karavan Publications.
Ola teaches in fields as investigative reporting, digital working methods for journalists, depth reports, news design and editorial work. He holds a master in Economic History and in april 2015 he travelled to Cuba through a grant from the Swedish Union of Journalists.
